With more than 35 years’ experience working in housing services, regeneration, planning, cohesion, environmental services and economic development, Andy is leading the Board as ForViva consolidates its considerable achievements and looks to the future. Andy has chaired the Group Board since 2012.
He retired, after a brief spell as Interim Chief Executive, from the post of Executive Director at a large metropolitan local authority. He has a wide experience in community development, strategy and planning and organisational development, as well as an understanding of the challenges large organisations face in complex social and political environments.
He is a trained mediator and a community mentor in his home town and chairs a local young people’s music trust. Outside work Andy's interests include music, reading and cycling. Andy knows nothing about football.
Andy believes passionately in ForViva’s vision of Improved Lives and is constantly looking for new ways to make it a reality.
