ForViva’s commercial arm supports the Group’s growth and social purpose
ForViva’s commercial arm, Liberty, is supporting the Group’s mission to deliver growth with a purpose, generating income that is reinvested in communities and projects to improve lives across the North West.
The property services company delivers repairs and maintenance, gas services and construction projects across the UK, working with landlords, local authorities and private sector companies, servicing over a quarter of a million homes.
It plays an important part in supporting and enhancing the viability of ForViva as a business, as well helping to fulfil the Group’s mission to improve lives, with two thirds of profits being reinvested in social purpose projects.
In 2018, Liberty Group merged with ForViva’s repairs and maintenance arm, ForWorks, to create an £80 million turnover company employing more than 1,000 staff. For Works specialises in social housing maintenance, large scale refurbishment and construction of new homes, and is supporting Liberty’s aim to increase its offer to new and existing clients, particularly in the area of developing new homes.
The move will help to support the Group’s investment in its development programme, which commits to developing 1,200 affordable homes across the North West to address the housing shortage and provide high quality, well-maintained homes and thriving communities.
Other projects Liberty is investing in include the launch of the Liberate Academy, which is working to improve the skills base of gas engineers across the country through a training academy that aims to provide easy access to training and qualifications.
